During RDC 2026 as Roblox celebrated its 20 year anniversary, The Hunt: Roblox 20 was officially announced as the next biggest event from Roblox to celebrate the game’s history where players are taken back in time each year to remember the highlights throughout Roblox’s history while completing fun and classic minigames to earn event exclusive UGC. Twin Atlas has had the honor and the privilege to create this event for Roblox and remember the moments that not only show how Roblox had gotten so big but what made it so iconic in the first place.
How to Play Through the Event
Players are transported to an empty void, peeking into a small office featuring a clean white room with some office chairs, old computers, and a peek into an urban, office view outside. This is the beginnings of where Roblox was born and first created in 2004 as an imaginative 3D platform sandbox where users can build with blocks and test out real-time physics.
Greeted by a younger Erik Cassel, Matt Dusek, Telamon, and Builderman, you’re directed to a mysterious cube the center of this empty void. Resembling the Roblox logo can be interacted with, transporting the player forward in time to go through each year of Roblox’s iconic history. Relive the years starting from the launch of Roblox, the iconic games that have been created over the years, and how the Roblox engine has evolved from a simple block physics game into the worldwide phenomenon it is today.
What can I earn during the Event?
As players explore through each year, completing each mission during each year will reward the player with UGC exclusive to The Hunt: Roblox 20 Event! The UGC will be thematic to each year covering both that year’s highlights and iconic moments during Roblox’s history. There’s also some well hidden secrets that lie within each year. Retrospective in Creation
As always, it's been an absolute thrill to help create past official Roblox events such as the RIA hubs from 2023-2026, The Classic, The Hunt: Mega Edition, and more. When we were approached by Roblox to create an experience for Roblox’s 20th Anniversary, we knew it’d be incredibly important to capture the moments in Roblox’s long and iconic history in this event to celebrate with players the long history the platform has had over the years.
The entire team worked incredibly hard to bring Roblox players a blast to the past from the games that defined Roblox down to recreating the development of terrain throughout Roblox’s history.
