Get ready, adventurers! Dragon Adventures is teaming up with The LEGO® Group for an epic new event, Shinrin World! A lush, Japan-inspired forest realm filled with magic, mystery, and dragons. This limited-time collaboration introduces a brand new world, a unique questline, and powerful dragon encounters like never before. Here’s everything you need to know to dive into this exciting crossover!
What is Shinrin World?
Shinrin is the 11th world in the Dragon Adventures universe, available only to players who have unlocked all prior worlds, or who unlock the Jungle while participating in the new pre-quest. Designed with Japanese forest aesthetics and layered with LEGO Ninjago: Dragon Rising lore, Shinrin feels both ancient and enchanted. Think mossy temples, towering trees, and mystical shrines, and at the heart of it all, the spirits of the Source Dragons.
Begin Your Journey with Riyu
Before stepping into Shinrin, players will meet Riyu, a young dragon companion from LEGO Ninjago: Dragons Rising, introduced via a special pre-quest starting September 12th. Hatch Riyu from an egg in the Origins world, then raise and bond with it through daily challenges and exploration. As Riyu grows, you’ll unlock access to the Jungle and eventually Shinrin itself.
Riyu isn’t just cute; completing the quest unlocks Riyu as a permanent dragon, a special “Riyu’s Trust” title, and a level-boosting item to prepare one of your dragons for the trials ahead.
Elemental Quests and Source Dragons
Once Shinrin is unlocked for all players on September 19th, players can explore element-themed regions inspired by LEGO Ninjago’s Source Dragon Spirits. The first is Energy, followed by Motion, each offering distinct challenges, daily tasks, and elemental shard rewards.
These shards aren’t just collectibles, they’re keys to the grand finale: a boss battle against Thunderfang, the corrupted guardian of Shinrin.
Thunderfang Boss Fight
On October 10th, players can team up in an epic co-op boss raid against Thunderfang in a ruined temple arena. The fight spans three intense phases, requiring teamwork, skill, and strategy. Defeating Thunderfang rewards players with exclusive dragon eggs, including the Source Dragon of Motion and possibly the Source Dragon of Energy.
These Source Dragons are not tamed like normal dragons, instead, they’re summoned using in-game trinkets. Their growth system is unique, evolving through “Power Tiers” from Novice to Awakened, unlocking visual changes and up to five powerful mutations.
